James Dondero: Leading the Way
Meet James Dondero, or “Jim Dondero“. He is co-founder and president of Highland Capital Management, a company he has been working at for over 30 years. Jim started his career as an analyst with the company in 1982 and became president in 1997. Jim has become a leader in the investment industry by focusing on long-term investment strategies that enable clients to grow their wealth
James Dondero has an impressive resume, one that includes founding Highland Capital Management and serving as president of the company since its inception in 1990. James is also involved with several non-profit organizations and serves on a number of boards.
James Dondero speaks to audiences around the world about entrepreneurship, leadership, business strategy, and investing. James’s passion for these topics is evident in his presentations: he shares both his own personal story as well as lessons learned from other entrepreneurs, he admires such as Warren Buffett and Howard Schultz.
Highland Capital Management is a $17 billion investment management firm with more than 400 employees. Within four years, he helped create the GIC subsidiary of Protective Life from Inception to over two billion dollars.
